Visual design for Citizen Voice
Type: Freelance
Role: Solo Visual and Graphic Designer
Year: 2025
I was part of Citizen Voice, a research team at TU Delft, for two years. Alongside participating in research activities, I worked on implementing their visual identity and creating both digital and physical versions of their portfolio.
When I joined, the team already had a logo, a font, and a color palette. However, they didn't have clear guidelines on how to use them.

I integrated the visual identity by assigning clear functions to the brand colors and creating a pattern using the team’s logo. This pattern reflects the nature of Citizen Voice: a diverse group of people united by a common goal, each contributing their own skills and personality. The pattern is the main visual element of the brand across all products.

To create the digital portfolio, I first worked with the team to define the information architecture. I then designed the wireframes and final screens in Figma, the website is currently under development. The visual design aims to reflect the character of the team: a research- and academic-oriented initiative that is professional and organized, yet not afraid to show a human and colorful side.

The print portfolio follows the same principles as the other products. It uses the pattern as the main visual theme and balances colors with clean, rounded shapes to convey a professional yet approachable identity.

A monochromatic version of the pattern is used for the team’s merchandise and goodies. It subtly highlights the brand logo while appearing almost like an abstract drawing, creating a design that is both stylish and wearable.
